WOAY – The 2018 NFL Draft finished Saturday in Arlington, Texas with West Virginia extending its streak to 11 straight years of having a Mountaineer being drafted.
Safety Kyzir White was chosen by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 119th overall pick in the fourth round. He played in 25 games in two seasons for the Mountaineers, recording 94 tackles and three interceptions in 2017.
Virginia Tech had two players drafted in the fifth round; defensive lineman Tim Settle and offensive guard Wyatt Teller are headed to the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills, respectively. With the Redskins selecting cornerback Greg Stroman in the seventh round, the Hokies totaled five draftees in 2018, the most they’ve had in a draft class since 2010.
Following Saturday’s draft, several players signed free agent contracts with various teams:
