An Atlanta native, Vivian Kwarm is the morning anchor at ABC WOAY-TV.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College, during her matriculation, the pre-med student was able to take advantage of many professional opportunities.
Her first work experience was at The White House in the Office of Presidential Correspondence for the Obama administration. She was one of ten people selected to be a part of The White House Correspondence Associate Program, where she coordinated correspondence on behalf of the President on issues ranging from the economy, education, and health care, to foreign policy and civil rights.
After her experience at The White House, Vivian had the opportunity to intern at O, The Oprah Magazine. During her internship, Vivian had the opportunity to work with a wide range of senior level editors from health, beauty, food, features and Oprah.com.
In addition, Vivian also pursued another internship at Academy Award winning Dr. Oz Show. Working in the medical unit, Vivian’s responsibilities included conducting research for upcoming show topics, pitching ideas for future shows, and writing scripts for Dr. Oz’s radio show.
Prior to this series of events, Vivian had plans for medical school to become a dermatologist, but after these life changing experiences, Vivian had her mind made up, knowing that she had discovered her true passion, broadcast journalism.
In 2014, Vivian started a production company in Los Angeles, California, where she produced and hosted a digital interview series called “Vision In Vogue”.
Vivian comes to WOAY-TV after being a live reporter for the morning show at WAAY-TV in Huntsville.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, and experiencing great food.
