Good Tuesday Evening! Happy First Day Of Spring!

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for SE Fayette, SE, Raleigh, SE Nicholas, Pocahontas, Webster, Greenbrier, Summers, Monroe, Mercer, and Tazewell County for tonight through late Wednesday. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for NW Fayette, NW Nicholas, NW Raleigh, Wyoming, and McDowell counties for tonight through early Thursday.

Expect rain to move in and transition over to a heavy wet snow tonight and last through Wednesday. Snowfall amounts will average between 3-6" for most. The highest elevations will likely see 8-12", while McDowell and Wyoming counties only see 1-3" due to warmer temperatures.

Power outages are possible due to the heavy weight of the snow. Travel will be hazardous and slick, if you can stay home, that would be the best bet. Have a plan of action in case you lose power.

Stay with the WOAY StormWatch weather team for the latest information.

We end this work week out beautifully with sun for both Thursday and Friday. Temperatures warm back up into the 40s for this weekend with more rain/snow chances on the way.
