It is something that many people look forward to going to, as a wide variety of businesses in West Virginia come together to talk to the public. One business that was there says they enjoy coming to the event and that it gets better every year. “We’ve been here for three total years now we started doing it again, we’ve done it before in the past but we missed a few years so three total years and every year gets better and we get a little bit more excited about it.” said, Kevin Rasmussem who is in commercial sales at West Virginia Insurance Agency.

The show included seventy-five booths that represented seventy businesses and some of the businesses you may not recognize. One new business that we talked to is “Game On! Putt Putt On the Go” located in Oak Hill. Mark Hurt who is the owner told us, “We were honored talking to kip about participating in the business show to show people something new in the area where we could come and set up our portable putt, putt golf course at different events for birthday parties, weddings, reunions, school events, corporate events as well.”

The show also gave away door prizes for anyone who entered to win. Sales Director, Kip Buchanan said, “Starting at two o’clock we will be giving away hundred dollar cash prizes every hour for the local people that attend. Just stop by the chamber booth and register for one hundred dollars, will be giving away a gun compliments of alpine tree service at six o clock, will be giving away three bicycles for children twelve and under.”

And for the public, they say it is great to attend something that supports their community. Linda Skaggs of Beckley says she goes every year and really enjoys the show. “It just brings our community together, we need to participate locally and everything we can, you know it helps our economy, it helps our property values. I like our area, I want to participate in anything they offer.” said Skaggs.
