FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY-TV) — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is in the process of designing and building a new law enforcement officers’ memorial.
Once it’s finished, it will be placed on the front lawn of the county courthouse and list all of the officers who have fallen in the line of duty.
The memorial is expected to cost $7-thousand.
Some of the money has already been raised but the Sheriff’s Office is still accepting donations.
To make a donation, make checks payable to the Fayette County Commission and indicate in the memo line that it’s a donation towards the monument. You can mail contributions to the attention of Fayette County Administrator Deborah Berry at PO Box 307 Fayetteville, WV 25840.
