DUI checkpoint set for Aug. 18 in Fayetteville

The Fayetteville Police Department is on a mission to keep our roads safe.

The police department will have a D.U.I Sobriety Checkpoint next Friday and Saturday. It will take place from 8 p.m. on August 18th until 2 a.m. on August 19th. It will be on W.Va. 16 (Court Street).

There will be DUI patrols throughout the area, and officials say they’ll be looking for impaired drivers, underage drinking, and those driving with a suspended or revoked license.

The checkpoint will be funded by the Southern Regional Highway Safety Program.
