WOAY- A heartbreaking story was released today from Concord University Athletics. Pat Dawson, the defensive coordinator has passed away. Dawson has been with the program since 2011. He was instrumental in building up the team’s defense and taking Concord to the Mountain East Conference Championship and the NCAA Division II Semifinals.
Dawson also recruited several players on the team that contributed to the 2014 success. We are sincerely saddened by the news and our prayers go out to Dawson’s family.
