ANCHOR

WOAY-TV is looking for a motivated team player to join us as an evening Anchor/Producer.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications and at least one year of experience at an affiliate station or cable newsroom. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial. You must be able to prioritize, work well independently, have strong organizational skills, handle time constraints, and meet deadlines. Candidates must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfy a pre-employment DMV check.

This position requires you to produce and anchor our 5pm, 6pm, and 11pm newscasts. You will also be expected to produce content for a variety of platforms including our website, social media, and mobile app, in addition to television. Factual research, source development, and finding leads is crucial. Experience using ENPS is preferred.

WOAY-TV began broadcasting in 1954 and is still owned by the same family today. April 2018 brought a new generation of leadership to the company and we are looking for dedicated team members to help us grow. It is an exciting time to join this ABC affiliate. MORNING & NOON ANCHOR

REPORTER

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or other related fields. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial. You must be able to prioritize, work well independently, have strong organizational skills, handle time constraints, and meet deadlines. Candidates must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfy a pre-employment DMV check.

This position requires you to report, shoot, write, and edit stories. You will be expected to produce content for a variety of platforms including our website, social media, and mobile app, in addition to television. Factual research, source development, and finding leads is crucial, in addition to being flexible to work assigned shifts.
