Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Wyoming East girls basketball is no stranger to facing Class AAA opposition in the Big Atlantic Classic, and 2017 is no exception as the Lady Warriors played George Washington on Wednesday.
The two teams traded the lead in the opening minutes, but Wyoming East went on a run to gain momentum, and enjoyed success on both sides of the ball, winning 70-47.
Emily Saunders scored 30 points while recording 20 rebounds, and Jasmine Blankenship came close to a triple-double with 23 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists.
The Lady Warriors will play Saturday afternoon for one of the girls championships against Washington or St. Albans.
